In order to photograph a solar eclipse you will need a special solar filter to protect your camera and your eyes. You will need to adjust certain settings on your camera to achieve lower shutter speeds and cancel auto-adjusting lighting. DO NOT USE A FLASH OF ANY KIND. The people around you will not be happy. Also if this is your first eclipse it is recommended to just enjoy the moment and leave the photography to the experts.
