Ivas John Band was formed by first generation children of Lithuanian immigrants:

All of the members of the Ivas John Band happen to be first generation children of Lithuanian immigrants. In fact the founder of the band, for who the band is named, Ivas was actually inspired to pursue a career in music after his parents exposed him to traditional Lithuanian music as a small child. If you listen to some of Ivas John Band’s folk songs you’ll likely hear some of Ivas’ Lithuanian roots represented in his music.

Ivas is passionate about playing the guitar:

Ivas’ instrument of choice is the guitar and he is known for being a gifted guitarist as well as an expert lyricist.

As a teenager young Ivas was drawn to blues:

By the time Ivas was a teenager he was naturally drawn to blues as a genre and would try to attend as many local blues performances as he could. In order to try and learn from some of the most talented local blues artists.

Ivas eventually went on to study at the Southern Illinois University:

Determined to pursue a serious career in the music Ivas chose to study at the Southern Illinois University where he joined an electric blues band which would tour around Illinois.

By 2007 Ivas had released his first professional CD:

By 2007 Ivas had released his professional CD which was a success and which inspired Ivas to release several more CDs between 2007 and 2012. All of the CDs which Ivas released during this time period were met with positive reviews and praise.

Ivas eventually was inspired by country music and folk music:

After pursuing a career as a blues musician and releasing several electronic blues albums, Ivas felt the urge to produce country music and folk music. Which is no surprise as he loved his parents’ Lithuanian folk music as a small child. During this period of time Ivas also chose to release a lot of acoustic tracks.

Ivas is once again writing and performing electronic blues tracks:

As Ivas often switches from producing electronic blues tracks to country folk tracks, it may come as no surprise that Ivas has once again decided to focus on producing electronic blues tracks.
